- Online and mobile bill-payment provider Allied Payment Network announced what it says is a “first of its kind” real-time digital bill-payment technology. The company developed the product in collaboration with Finastra, a software provider to financial institutions.
- Payments provider International Bancard said it was named the official credit card processor of the Rocket Mortgage Classic, a PGA Tour event scheduled to start June 25 in Detroit. It will provide payments services within the event and the processing for ticket and merchandise sales.
- Gift-card processor Givex said it acquired Giftcertificates.ca, an online gift-card site in Canada. Terms were not disclosed. The site had been a division of merchant processor Moneris Solutions Corp.
- Equifax Inc. announced an alliance with identity-technology provider Giact Systems.
- Payments provider Net Element Inc. said that starting July 1 its Aptito payment service, which is aimed at the hospitality industry, will start accepting all “major” cryptocurrencies.
- The U.S. Faster Payments Council hired Kimberly Ford, most recently with First Data Corp., as its first executive director.
