Android Pay Coming to Mobile Chrome Browser and other Digital Transactions News briefs

JPMorgan Chase & Co. said it is now supporting Alphabet Inc.’s Android Pay mobile-payment service. Chase, which is in the process of launching its own mobile wallet, Chase Pay, has issued more than 90 million Visa cards.

In related news, Alphabet’s Google unit said it is making Android Pay available for mobile checkout to consumers using the Chrome browser.

Point-of-sale terminal maker Equinox Payments announced it and Crimson Transaction Technologies, which develops point-of-sale software for retail, government, and parking, now offer an integrated payment service that uses Equinox L5000 devices, and is certified on First Data Corp.’s platform.

ParkHub, marketer of parking-management and payments solutions, announced its system has been adopted by five parking operators, including Parking Company of America-Dallas Inc., Ultimate Parking Management, ImPark (West Coast), Denison Parking, and LAZ Parking.

Data-security provider Netsurion announced that independent sales organization CoCard is reselling Netsurion’s managed firewall services. Netsurion also said ReSource Point of Sale, which focuses on retail and hospitality, will resell Netsurion’s Brand Guard services.

Processor Vantiv Inc. announced that pizzeria chain Papa John’s International Inc. will process payments with Vantiv made at 3,300 Papa John’s U.S. locations and online.

The Subway restaurant chain acquired the assets of online commerce solutions provider Avanti Commerce and incorporated them into its new Subway Digital unit. Subway said the unit is working on an in-restaurant kiosk program.
