Apple Revenue up 11% And Other Digital Transactions News briefs from 2/2/24

  • Apple Inc. reported record quarterly revenue of $23.1 billion in its Services unit, up 11% year-over-year, including an all-time high for payments revenue, which Apple did not break out in its December quarter results. This subcategory includes revenue from processing for stores, Apple Pay, and iOS apps.
  • Cannabis wholesale platform Nabis announced Nabis Capital, a payments platform for cannabis sellers.
  • Payments entrepreneur Alex Rampell has joined the board of Rocket Companies, a fintech platform, as an independent director. Rampell helped found Affirm Inc. and before that started TrialPay, acquired by Visa Inc. in 2015.
  • Payments platform Nayax Ltd. has appointed Aaron Greenberg chief strategy officer. Greenberg was most recently a managing partner at Teberius Capital Markets.
  • BentoBox launched its marketing and commerce platform for restaurants, including payments support for Web sites, online ordering, reservations, and events management.
