ATMIA Releases Operation Choke Point Resource and other Digital Transactions News briefs

  • Consumer-goods manufacturer Shinola has signed up to use the point-of-sale financing service from Affirm Inc.
  • The ATM Industry Association released an Operation Choke Point resource kit for ATM operators. The association said ATM operators continue to receive account-closure notices despite the Department of Justice’s public statement to end the enforcement program.
  • Merchant services provider SignaPay Ltd. released the PayLo POS service, a cash-discounting software application for merchants.
  • Encryption specialist Bluefin Payment Systems announced that the Miura Systems Ltd. M010 device is available through Decryptx, Bluefin’s decryption as a service offering.
  • Machine-learning specialist Signifyd said its service is available natively to merchants using the latest version of the Magento Commerce platform.
  • Payments-middleware provider Datacap Systems announced it completed EMV level 3 certification with Vantiv Inc.’s Integrated Payments division.
  • Hawk Incentives, the rewards unit of prepaid card provider Blackhawk Network Holdings Inc., unveiled virtual Mastercard reward cards that can be added to major mobile wallets.
  • Scott Scheirman will become chief executive of CPI Card Group effective Oct. 4, succeeding Steve Montross, who is retiring. Scheirman is a former Western Union and First Data executive.
  • Risk-management firm Giact Systems named Brett Petersen as executive vice president of sales. Previously, Petersen held a variety of sales and sales-management positions at Thomson Reuters.
