Big Boy Goes Chainwide with Oracle And Other Digital Transactions News briefs from 1/18/23

  • Oracle Corp. said restaurant chain Big Boy Restaurant Group LLC will adopt its Micros Simphony Cloud Point of Sale and Oracle Payment Cloud Service.
  • Payments provider Paysafe Ltd. said it has expanded its processing services to sports betting in Ohio. The move follows on the heels of Paysafe’s entry in the Maryland sports-betting market in November.
  • Payments provider PayJunction completed an integration with Plaid, a service that aids open banking, to enable its customers to accept payments via bank transfer.
  • E-commerce fraud prevention provider Signifyd said its plug-in for dynamic exemptions for strong customer authentication is now available as part of the Signifyd Commerce Protection Platform on the commercetools Integration Marketplace. Signifyd also released its State of Fraud 2023 report that found bot attacks on e-commerce sites increased 71% in 2022 over 2021.
  • Online fraud prevention provider Riskified updated its Policy Protect product with the addition of Identity Explore, a tool that enables merchants to visualize customer identities and behaviors, tailor customer experiences, and customize policy decisions.
  • Online fraud prevention firm Forter acquired Immue, a bot detection company based in Israel. Terms were not disclosed.
  • Mobile top-up company Ding.com has selected a payment-orchestration platform from Gr4vy to enable alternative-payment methods.
  • Discover Global Network said has now enabled contactless payments for its payment cards on transit systems in Spain, Poland, and Taiwan. Riders can use Discover, Diners Club International, and network-alliance partner cards with the system.
  • Online shopping cart provider ThriveCart said it lined up a $35 million investment from LTV Saas Growth Fund. It also named Kevin McKeand its chief executive, who previously had been on the investor side.
  • Unattended payments specialist Cantaloupe Inc. named Anna Novoseletsky its chief legal and compliance officer and general counsel, corporate secretary. Novoseletsky has been vice president and associate general counsel and head of legal at Discover Financial Services.
