  • Mobile point-of-sale provider CardFlight said payment processor Beyond will offer CardFlight’s SwipeSimple device to merchants. The technology enables EMV chip card transactions from a mobile device.
  • CME Group, a major derivatives marketplace, announced plans to launch a futures market for Bitcoin before the end of the year, pending regulatory review.
  • On the news of the planned CME futures contract, the price of Bitcoin hit a new all-time high Wednesday morning, breaching the $6,500 level, according to Coindesk.
  • Processor Fiserv Inc. reported that third-quarter adjusted payments revenue increased 4.6% to $733 million from $701 million a year earlier.
