BitPay an Option on Wix’s Platform and other Digital Transactions News briefs from 10/12/21

  • Cryptocurrency payment processor BitPay Inc. said it completed an integration with Wix, an e-commerce platform, to enable BitPay’s Bitcoin and crypto payment processing as a payment option.
  • Splitit USA Inc. said Discover cardholders can use the installment payments with their cards. Diners Club International and other alliance cards can be used, too. Splitit uses a consumer’s existing credit to spread payments over time with no additional fees or interest.
  • Payments provider Digital River Inc. said it has integrated its checkout technology with Salesforce Commerce Cloud on Salesforce AppExchange for business-to-business merchants.
  • Payment services provider Spreedly announced a partnership with Stripe Inc. that will enable Spreedly customers to onboard with Stripe via Stripe Connect.
  • Bank of America Corp. released Recipient Select, a service that enables consumers to choose a preferred payment method when receiving a payment from a business. BofA said the service is optimal for companies with a high volume of payouts.
  • Payments-technology provider Bottomline Technologies Inc. introduced a service using SWIFT data to help banks around the world track payments flows. SWIFT is a worldwide financial-messaging network.
  • Startup Flow Networks Inc., which debuted in March, said its Flow Platform is making its debut via an implementation by point-of-sale technology provider Copper at the Ace Wasabi restaurant in San Francisco. Flow Platform provides digital receipts.
  • Mastercard Inc. said it will support Markaaz, a service that connects small businesses with vendors, in helping businesses save time in meeting financial criteria set by suppliers.
  • Gift card and loyalty program provider Factor4 LLC said its service is now integrated in the Voyager application from Equinox Payments, a point-of-sale terminal maker.
  • Payments provider Paya named Michele Shepard as chief commercial officer and Balaji Devarasetty its chief technology officer. Shepard previously held positions at vertical software companies and Devarasetty most recently was head of technology at Bakkt, a crypto asset marketplace.
