CapOne Targets False Declines Using Signifyd and other Digital Transactions News briefs from 9/27/21

  • Capital One has partnered with fraud-detection firm Signifyd Inc. to raise authorization rates and reduce mistakenly declined transactions on Cap One credit card transactions.
  • The Internal Revenue Service on Friday sent more than 430,000 Advance Child Tax Credit payments via same-day ACH on the automated clearing house network, according to Nacha, the governing body for the ACH. The payments were directed to families that had received payments in July and August but were missed for September.
  • Impulsify Inc. introduced the ShopPoP pay station and kiosk, which offers QR-code functionality to allow a contactless option for patrons to pay for items.
  • Payments provider Chosen Payments Atlanta LLC has rebranded as 100GROUP.
  • Payments-technology provider BHMI has joined the U.S. Payments Forum, an industry group focused on emerging technology.
  • Buy now, pay later specialist Zip Co Ltd., which formerly operated in the U.S. market as Quadpay, appointed marketing veteran Jinal Shah as chief marketing officer.
  • Humbl Inc., a blockchain firm specializing in mobile payments and ticketing, said Peter M. Schulte has joined the company’s board as an independent director. Schulte is managing partner and cofounder of CM Equity Partners, a private-equity firm.
