- CardFlight Inc. released its Small Business Report for Sept. 2 that shows contactless payments made at more than 65,000 small businesses for the week of Aug. 24-30 were up 140.3% from the base week of March 2 to 8. The report also predicts that there may be up to 50% fewer transactions this Labor Day Monday compared to a typical Monday.
- Stack Sports and TapNPay+ introduced a mobile-payments app that provides cash back to consumers when they use the app to make purchases at more than 270 merchants. A percentage of each transaction is donated to local clubs, leagues, associations, and youth sports charities.
- Mobile parking-payment app provider ParkMobile LLC announced its ParkMobile 360 system has been adopted by the cities of Chattanooga, Tenn.; Clearwater, Fla.; Fresno, Calif.; and Orlando, Fla. The system allows municipalities to manage parking data across a variety of parking technologies.
- Credit union service organization PSCU said the DuPage Credit Union joined the cooperative and will use PSCU for credit and debit processing services.
- Asset-servicing firm CACEIS has chosen FIS Inc.’s Open Payment Framework to provide a payment hub. CACEIS, a provider of execution, clearing, securities lending, custody, and fund services to asset managers and corporate clients globally, is jointly owned by Credit Agricole S.A. and Santander.
- Mercator Advisory Group released its “Asian Mobile Pays Continue High Growth, But U.S. Market Expansion Stalls” report.
- Payments provider ACI Worldwide Inc. appointed Tony Dinkins chief human resources officer. Dinkins most recently filled the same role at Fiesta Restaurant Group.
