CoCard, Xpress-pay Team up To Target Insurance, Other Emerging Markets

Independent sales organization CoCard Anderson and bill-payment software company Systems East Inc. are targeting insurance, government, and utilities merchants in a new program announced Tuesday.

Merchant processing is not as widely adopted in these merchant categories as in retail, making them attractive prospects, CoCard says.

In the deal, Systems East, which developed bill-payment software Xpress-pay, will offer CoCard’s payment-processing service via the software. Once enrolled merchants will be able to use Xpress-pay’s online, interactive voice-response and mobile-wallet products

Access to TransFirst LLC’s gateway also was integrated into Xpress-pay, increasing the number of connected gateways to 13.

In a press release, CoCard Anderson says the agreement will expand to include all 79 branches of the national CoCard brand. CoCard Marketing LLC is an umbrella organization for individual ISOs that operate under the CoCard moniker.

“The recurring payment products that Xpress-pay brings to our table are very exciting,” Andrew Anderson of CoCard Anderson said in a statement. “This relationship opens several market segments to us, and offers a long-term, dependable value to those unique clients.”
