  • Darwinium, a fraud-prevention platform serving payments providers and fintechs from global offices in London and Sydney, announced its expansion into the U.S. market, including relocation of its corporate headquarters to San Francisco.
  • Some 65% of treasury officers reported their organizations were victimized by attempted or actual fraud last year, the lowest percentage since 2014, according to the 2023 AFP Payments Fraud and Control Survey from the Association of Financial Professionals. The 2014 number was 62%.
  • Digital-identity provider Incognia entered the regulated U.S. igaming market with a compliance technology that lets casinos verify wagers, complies with geographic regulations, and protects user accounts from takeover fraud.
  • Payments provider VizyPay said its CDP 2.0 cash-discount program saved client merchants more than $9 million in payment-processing costs in the first quarter, up 22% from the same period last year.
