DinerDaddy Turns to MagTek and other Digital Transactions News briefs from 7/30/24

  • DinerDaddy, technology provider to restaurants, has adopted MagTek’s Magensa Gateway Services and the company’s iDynamo 6 mobile terminal, MagTek announced.
  • A survey of almost 1,000 IT security professionals in the U.S., U.K., French, and German markets indicates 83% were hit with ransomware attacks in the past year, with “a high degree of success,” notes a study from Semperis, a security-technology provider for e-commerce.
  • Payments-technology fintech Innovative Payment Solutions Inc. has agreed to acquire Business Warrior Corp., a publicly traded software provider for lenders. Terms were not announced.
  • A startup travel and payments app called Faye said it raised $31 million in a Series B round led by Portage. Its funding total now stands at $49 million.
  • Educators Credit Union, a credit union with more than $3.3 billion in assets and over 230,000 members in Wisconsin, has added buy now, pay later. It will extend personalized BNPL offers to members on eligible debit card transactions. Members will be able to view and accept pre-qualified BNPL offers in the credit union’s digital-banking service.
  • GRUBBRR, a provider of self-ordering technology, has partnered with Olo, a restaurant technology provider with ordering, payment, and guest engagement solutions.
