- Discover Financial Services said it will begin issuing contactless cards over the next several months, starting first this month with holders of Discover it and Discover More cards who need cards reissued or replaced. New cardholders will get contactless cards beginning in December.
- ACI Worldwide expanded its long-term relationship with ATM network operator Cardtronics plc to include ACI’s UP Retail Payments technology, which is expected to enable more payment types and devices.
- Women’s apparel retailer Planet Blue said customers at its brick-and-mortar stores can now pay for purchases in four equal installments via Klarna’s payments service. The chain says it is among the first in the United States to offer the installment service in physical stores after offering it online.
- Jacksonville, Fla.-based processor Fidelity National Information Services Inc. (FIS) plans to build a 12-story, 300,000-square-foot new headquarters in Jacksonville under a plan that includes the hiring of 500 more employees.
