• Early Warning Services LLC, a fraud-management company, announced an alliance with NuData Security that enables Early Warning to use behavioral analytics and risk assessment as part of its authentication platform.
• Money-transfer revenue for MoneyGram International totaled $339.6 million for the third quarter, up 5% on a constant-currency basis year over year. Digital money-transfer revenue accounted for 13% of that total, and grew 12% year over year.
• ATM operator Cardtronics plc reported revenue of $328.3 million for the third quarter, up 6% from the same quarter in 2015. Net income totaled $27.5 million, up 25%.
• Profitability is building rapidly at online payments and shopping powerhouse Amazon.com Inc. The company reported $252 million of net income for the third quarter and $1.62 billion for the year through Sept. 30, up from $79 million and $114 million, respectively, in the year-ago periods.
• TMG, a credit-union service organization formerly known as The Members Group, said it now offers instant issuance of EMV chip cards nationwide following a test at several financial institutions.
• Accertify Inc., an e-commerce fraud specialist owned by American Express Co., said it will integrate fraud-prevention technology from Signifyd Inc. in its Interceptas Platform.
• Visa Inc. announced some changes to its Global Registry of Service Providers, its roster of third-party agents, approved vendors, and other classifications. The online database now identifies service providers that support EMV, tokenization, and point-to-point encryption, and how long the provider has had a relationship with Visa.
• Fare-payment technology provider Cubic Transportations Systems received a two-year, $12.7 million contract extension from the Metropolitan Atlanta Rapid Transit Authority to continue supporting MARTA’s Breeze card, which Cubic designed and implemented in 2006. The value of the contract could increase to $52 million if upgrade options are exercised.
• Payment gateway Shift4 Corp. said an EMV-certified point-of-sale service created with developer Springer-Miller Systems that specializes in hospitality and spa management is now available.
• U.K. ACH and faster-payments operator VocaLink released a report about younger U.S. consumer payments behavior. MasterCard Inc. plans to buy VocaLink under a pending $920 million deal.
