• EDGE Mobile Payments LLC, which offers a card-consolidation device, said it is offering users of the former Coin card a discount on the purchase of its EDGE Card. Fitbit Inc. purchased Coin in 2016, and the service was shuttered earlier this year.
• PayPal Holdings Inc.’s dominance in e-commerce payments is driving a surge in its valuation, according to investment firm Robert W. Baird. PayPal shares are up 35% so far this year, compared to 9% for the market, Bloomberg reports, adding Baird’s price target for the company is now $59, up from $54.
• Quisk Inc., a digital cash-payment network for financial institutions, said it will incorporate blockchain technology on its platform, allowing it to store all transaction ledgers on a blockchain accessible by its clients.

• Discover Financial Services announced it has launched a messaging capability for its mobile app that lets users communicate with Discover customer-service agents within the app and without interrupting other interactions.
