- Electronic Merchant Systems announced the acquisition of Total Touch POS, a POS system developer for the hospitality industry. Terms were not disclosed.
- Bank of America Merchant Services, along with First Data Corp., announced it integrated BlueSnap Inc.’s All-in-one Payment Platform into its system. BAMS is the first integration since First Data and BlueSnap announced a deal to offer BlueSnap’s e-commerce product to First Data’s distribution partners. BlueSnap’s service features simplified code for enabling card-not-present payments and multiple payment type acceptance.
- Payments provider Sphere launched this week. Sphere recently bought TrustCommerce and Anovia Payments and is backed by Waud Capital Partners.
- Authentication-services provider Jumio said it now offers FaceTex’s ZoOm 3D Face Liveness Detection. While Jumio has had liveness detection, this new technology should improve the security, speed, and user experience, Jumio said.
- Business-to-business payments provider Nvoicepay announced a partnership with Symbeo, an accounts-payable and invoice-automation company, to offer a joint invoice-to-pay service.
- Point-of-sale terminal maker Equinox Payments released an updated version of its Apollo AIO countertop terminal and made it part of its Luxe product line. It can be used as a standalone device or integrated into a POS system.
- American Express Co. and Amazon.com Inc. launched the Amazon Business American Express card. When used for Amazon purchases, cardholders can choose to earn rewards or get a payment term to help their cash flow.
- Citcon, a cross-border mobile-payment and marketing company, announced an integration with MyCheck, a mobile-payment provider for the hospitality industry.
- Alipay, the payment wallet from Ant Financial Services Group, said HMSHost will accept it at many U.S. and Canadian restaurants operated by HMSHost in airports.
- Digital-finance provider YellowPepper expanded into Brazil.
