Bitcoin Depot Inc. looks to expand the installation of its cryptocurrency kiosks in a new deal with Cord Financial Services LLC. Separately, RocketFuel Inc. will adopt Ripple Payments for its payment-products suite.
Atlanta-based Bitcoin Depot, which recently expanded the footprint of its BDCheckout cryptocurrency digital-wallet funding program, says it will work with Temple, Texas-based Cord, an ATM independent sales organization, to secure Bitcoin ATM placements within Cord’s merchant base.
Bitcoin Depot, founded in 2016, has approximately 6,400 kiosk locations in North America.
In related news, San Francisco-based RocketFuel, a crypto processor for e-commerce merchants, says it will adopt Ripple Payments, the new name for Ripple’s cross-border payments platform. Ripple provides blockchain network services.
RocketFuel is using Ripple Payments as part of its Pay-In Commerce service that enables merchants to accept crypto and automated clearing house payments in store and online. It’s also part of the Mass Pay-Out service, which enables payments in either crypto or bank transfer, and the Cross-Border B2B service to send large sums using blockchain and stablecoin technologies.
“By leveraging the power of Ripple’s cutting-edge payment solutions, we are able to revolutionize the way businesses transact by creating better, faster, and cheaper payment experiences for our merchants and partners worldwide,” Peter Jensen, RocketFuel chief executive, said in a statement.
