The hotly contested restaurant point-of-sale market shows no signs of cooling off.
Inspire Brands Inc., a global restaurant chain that is home to Arby’s, Baskin-Robbins, Dunkin’, and four other brands, has expanded its work with processor Fiserv Inc. with the goal of unifying in-store, in-app, and online transactions for more of its brands,
Announced Wednesday, the deal, which builds on the existing Fiserv-Inspire relationship, adds several thousand more restaurants and includes both company-owned and franchised locations. Atlanta-based Inspire says it has approximately 32,000 restaurants and is in 58 markets across the globe.
Fiserv says Inspire will use Carat, its global commerce platform, to enable consolidated transaction processing. Other Inspire brands include Buffalo Wild Wings, Buffalo Wild Wings Go, Jimmy John’s, and Sonic. Fiserv has worked with the Dunkin’ brand for more than two decades and others in the Inspire portfolio for multiple years, a Fiserv spokesperson says.
“As buying experiences become more connected to customer loyalty, enabling seamless interactions across channels has become critical to our success,” Kate Jaspon, Inspire chief financial officer, said in a statement.
