Two payments providers, in separate developments, are fine- tuning their services for veterinary-practice software makers. Gravity Payments Inc. has an integration with Fear Free LLC, a software developer, and Weave is updating its software for veterinary clinics.
Broomfield, Colo.-based Fear Free says it will offer Gravity’s payment option with its software. In addition to traditional counter-based payment acceptance, the integration also means vet clinics can use mobile payment devices to process payments in exam rooms, other waiting areas, and other low-stress locations. Fear Free says this will contribute to reducing fear, anxiety, and stress during visits.
Seattle-based Gravity offers a range of Clover point-of-sale devices, smart-phone readers, wireless POS devices, and Bluetooth-enabled devices. Gravity offers customized pricing, along with flat-rate pricing at 2.5% plus 10 cents per transaction. Fear Free clients are not obliged to process with Gravity, Fear Free says.
Gravity serves more than 23,000 U.S. and Canadian merchants.
In related news, Lehi, Utah-based Weave issued updates to its software for veterinary clinics that now includes prominently displaying a pet’s name in several parts of its software and the ability to share a pet’s vaccination record with one click.
In addition, Weave, which also develops software for dental, medical, and related specialties, offers Weave Payments, a processing service that includes traditional payment acceptance, text to pay, payment plans, buy now, pay later options, and direct-debit capabilities on the automated clearing house network.
