Fattmerchant Makes QuickBooks Online Integration and other Digital Transactions News briefs from 9/19/18

  • Mobile POS specialist CardFlight released version 5.0 of its SwipeSimple payment-acceptance service. Among the new features are pairing receipt printers and countertop hardware for issuing receipts via a mobile printer; discount options; item images; and a virtual terminal with address-verification support.
  • Payments provider Fattmerchant announced an integration with QuickBooks Online with bi-directional syncing of a merchant account with a business’s QuickBooks Online account.
  • Processor Worldpay Inc. announced that effective Dec. 31 its co-chief executive, Philip Jansen, will step down and will also leave the company’s board of directors. Current executive chairman and co-CEO Charles Drucker will take over as sole CEO.
  • To help combat online bill-pay fraud, Jack Henry & Associates Inc.’s ProfitStars unit introduced its Gladiator iPay Enterprise Security Monitoring service for financial institutions.
  • Digital-menu technology provider eTouchMenu, a unit of House Advantage LLC, announced it will integrate payments services and devices from Shift4 Payments.
  • Point-of-sale platform Linga POS announced an integration with Chase Paymentech in Canada.
  • Paystri announced a partnership that will see its payments services offered to users of Retail Realm’s business-management software while Sound Payments will provide related accounting and recurring-billing services.
  • Merchant processor EVO Payments Inc. plans to sell 6.02 million shares of Class A common stock, the net proceeds of which it will use to buy limited-liability interests and Class D common stock of the company held by private-equity firm Madison Dearborn Partners.
  • Entersekt, which provides mobile-identity services for payments and other financial services, appointed former Dream Payments executive Christian Ali as its country manager for Canada.
