First Data CEO Pay Tops $51 Million and other Digital Transactions News briefs

• Braintree launched Braintree Auth as an invitation-only service in beta. The service streamlines integration of Braintree merchants with e-commerce platforms and eases the way for new payment methods enabled by Braintree, a unit of PayPal Holdings Inc. Braintree Auth currently processes payments on e-commerce platforms Bigcommerce, WooCommerce, and 3DCart.

• First Data Corp. CEO Frank Bisignano made $51.6 million last year, including more than $44 million in stock and option awards, $1.5 million in salary, and a $5 million cash bonus connected to the company’s October 2015 IPO, Bloomberg reported.

Wal-Mart Stores Inc. announced a new cash-back rewards plan called 3-2-1 Save for its private-label and cobranded MasterCard credit cards issued by Synchrony Bank and its Walmart MoneyCard prepaid card issued by Green Dot Corp.’s bank subsidiary. The program gives 3% back on Walmart.com purchases, 2% back on gasoline purchases at Walmart and Murphy USA gas stations, and 1% back for purchases in Walmart stores. Cobranded credit card holders also get 1% back anywhere else MasterCard is accepted. Credit card holders can earn unlimited rewards while MoneyCard holders can earn up to $75 per year.

Yoyo Wallet Ltd., a U.K.-based mobile-wallet developer with designs on the U.S. market, launched version 5.0 of Yoyo Wallet, with improved controls and security and better graphics.

Malauzai Software released the latest version of its SmartApps mobile and Web banking software for community banks, with stepped-up peer-to-peer money-transfer features.

Prepaid program manager WaveCrest Group said it has added the Fuel Rewards Network program to its MyFare and MyChoice prepaid MasterCard cards. The network allows cardholders to earn savings on gasoline at Shell stations by using their cards for everyday purchases.

Subscription-payments specialist Recurly Inc. says it is working with Kount, a fraud-prevention company, to offer Kount’s services to Recurly merchants.

Street Invoice, which provides a mobile-based invoicing tool, is making the tool available to independent sales organizations.

• Payments gateway Creditcall said its EMV service has been certified by merchant processor Elavon.

Solutran Inc. said it has started processing electronic benefits transfer payments for the Wyoming Special Supplemental Nutrition Program for Women, Infants, and Children (WIC) through the company’s Smart Card EBT solution.
