FIS’ New P2P Payments Service and other Digital Transactions News briefs from 8/15/24

  • FIS Inc. said it will make a peer-to-peer payment service from Neural Payments available to its banking customers. The white-label product enables bank customers to transfer money from their accounts to anyone, regardless of weather the recipient’s financial institution uses Neural Payments and without the need to download a third-party app or register a new card, FIS said. Payments can be settled via mobile wallets, debit cards, with real-time payments services FedNow and RTP.
  • Buy now, pay later provider Zip said processor Stripe Inc. will integrate Zip as a payment option for its U.S. merchants.
  • Campus technology and payments provider Transact Campus Inc. said Roper Technologies Inc. will acquire the company for $1.6 billion backed Reverence Capital Partners.
  • Payments provider Airwallex said it has exceeded $100 billion in processing volume for the year, a 73% jump compared to the same time in 2023.
  • Global payments provider Adyen NV announced it has expanded into India with an authorization from the Reserve Bank of India to provide services as an Online Payment Aggregator in that country for domestic and cross-border transactions.
