- Desjardins Group, said to be the biggest financial cooperative in North America, said it will transfer its credit card processing function to Fiserv Inc. The deal is said to be the first such “large-scale” engagement in Canada for Fiserv.
- Business-to-business buy now, pay later platform Playter launched Paid, a service that lets Playter clients offer their customers BNPL terms up to 12 months.
- Bill-payment specialist Paymentus Holdings Inc. said billers linked to its Instant Payment Network can now accept cash at more than 90,000 retail locations. The service is supported by Green Dot Network.
- Citizens Financial Group agreed to designate Mastercard Inc. as the exclusive payments network for its credit, debit, and commercial portfolios.
- CanPay, whose app allows consumers to pay for purchases at cannabis shops via an automated clearing house debit to their checking accounts, said it is now available at more than 1,000 merchant locations in 31 states.
- The car-shipping platform Super Dispatch launched SuperPay, part of a digital wallet that allows shippers to pay carriers via an ACH transfer.
- U.S.-based Transcard opened an office in London as part of its international expansion. Plans are to hire 100 employees, in addition to the 16 already in the London location, over the next three years.
