    • The payments platform FreedomPay said it is expanding its partnership with the processor Worldpay to cover more geographic markets globally. FIS Inc. in July agreed to sell a 55% interest in Worldpay to the private-equity firm GTCR in a deal expected to close in 2024’s first quarter.
    • Buy now, pay later specialist Sezzle Inc. announced an agreement to allow merchants on the WooCommerce platform to more easily integrate Sezzle’s services.
    • Garmin International Inc. introduced its vivoactive 5, a health-and-fitness smart watch featuring the contactless-payments technology Garmin Pay.
    • The information-technology firm CGI Technologies and Solutions Inc. announced it has been certified to process payments on the Federal Reserve’s new FedNow real-time payments platform.
    • Blockchain-technology platform Paxos marked five years of supporting stablecoins, with more than $120 billion in U.S. dollar stablecoins issued and redeemed in that time.
    • Payments platform Klarna AB launched several features aimed at supporting environmentally conscious shopping, including a dashboard featuring products promising sustainability.
    • AppTech Payments Corp. has agreed to acquire Alliance Partners LLC, which owns FinZeo, a provider of payments and banking technology. Terms were not disclosed.
