GoDaddy in Google Tie-up and other Digital Transactions News briefs from 7/13/21

  • GoDaddy Inc. and Alphabet Inc.’s Google unit announced an integration that enables GoDaddy clients access to various Google online properties from GoDaddy’s online store. These clients will be able to create a Google Merchant Center account, sync their online product listing on Google, and promote their products on Google.
  • Payments-technology startup KodyPay Ltd. announced a $3.25-million funding round, bringing the total raised in the past 12 months to $6 million. KodyPay’s chairman is former Earthport PLC chief executive Hank Uberoi.
  • Payments provider XTM Inc. has closed on its acquisition of the assets of Tiproll, provider of software for gratuity payouts. Terms were not announced. XTM provides Vert, a Visa-branded credit card with a dynamically-determined credit line.
  • Payments provider Paya Inc. said it will support Recur360, a cloud-based provider of recurring payment services for business-to-business relationships, in services such as integrated card and automated clearing house transactions.
  • Discover Financial Services announced an agreement with processor SIBS MB allowing Discover and Diners Club cardholders to use their cards on the SIBS MB network at merchants and ATMs throughout Portugal.
  • Payfare Inc., a provider of processing for instant payouts to gig workers, has agreed to use Marqeta Inc.’s card-issuing platform globally.
  • Bluetape Inc., a fintech serving the construction industry, launched a mobile-payments application allowing contractors to make and receive payments.
  • Risk-analysis firm Featurespace filed for global patents on two technologies, automated deep behavioral networks and behavioral anomaly score. Both are aimed at detecting payments fraud.
