Harbortouch In Integration Deal and other Digital Transactions News briefs

• Merchant processor Harbortouch Payments LLC said it will integrate cloud-based purchasing and inventory-control software from Sarbari into its point-of-sale offering for the restaurant industry.

• Processor and payments-tech developer Dwolla Inc. said it has brought its application programming interface for same-day automated clearing house transactions out of pilot. With this move, it said it has become the first company to offer an API to enable same-day ACH.

• Following a six-month pilot, The Western Union Co. said it is launching cross-border money-transfer services in John Lewis stores in the United Kingdom.

• TA Associates, a private-equity firm known for investing in payments companies, has taken a minority equity interest in Interswitch Ltd., a payments switch operating in Nigeria, Gambia, Kenya, and Uganda.

• Fare-payment technology provider Cubic Transportation Systems appointed Tony Gale as vice president and general manager of its NextBus real-time passenger-information business; before NextBus, Gale was general manager of TripSpark Technologies’ School Transportation Division.
