Helper Bees Pick Lynx for Card Program and other Digital Transactions News briefs from 8/1/24

  • An in-home services company called The Helper Bees has launched a benefit card that allows members to spend benefits at more than 60,000 retail locations, including drugstores and grocery chains.
  • Duda, a Web site developer, said its e-commerce technology has integrated with Block Inc.’s Square platform, a move it says will allow client operations to more easily add Square’s payment options to e-commerce sites.
  • Processor Finix announced it has launched a feature that lets clients process recurring payments with no-code tools.
  • Rego Payment Architectures Inc., a digital-wallet platform, said it supports the Kids Online Safety and Privacy Act, which has passed the U.S. Senate and aims to protect children in e-commerce.
  • Cross-border payments specialist Nium said it has expanded its operations to six new countries, bringing its total to more than 40 countries.
  • The Payments Innovation Alliance at Nacha, the rules-setting body for the automated clearing house network, released its “Business Email Compromise Response Action Plan.”
  • Payments-technology provider ACI Worldwide Inc. reported second-quarter revenue of $373.5 million, up 15.5% over the same period last year. The company swung from a $6.7 million loss a year ago to record net income of $30.9 million.
  • Olo Inc., a specialist in payments technology for the hospitality industry, reported June-quarter revenue of $70.5 million, up 27% year-over-year. Net income totaled $5.73 million, a reversal of the company’s year-ago loss of $17 million.
  • Lightspeed Commerce Inc., a point-of-sale payments-technology firm, reported June-quarter revenue of $266.1 million, up 27% year-over-year, exceeding the company’s outlook. The company narrowed its net loss to $35 million from $48.7 million in the year-ago quarter.
  • Prepaid card program provider Paysign Inc., which specializes in the health-care industry, said second-quarter revenue was up 29.8% year-over-year to $14.33 million.
