ICBA Payments’ Mastercard Move and other Digital Transactions News briefs from 3/17/25

  • The Independent Community Bankers of America said its ICBA Payments subsidiary is working with Mastercard Inc. to offer upgraded and enhanced card and payment services for 1,400 community banks. Mastercard will manage all cardholder communication and marketing while ICBA Payments will move its sponsored card programs to Mastercard at no cost and will include contactless cards, tokenization to digital wallets, 8-digit BINs, and business BIN optimization.
  • Wyndham Hotels & Resorts Inc. released the Wyndham Rewards Debit Card. Users can earn Wyndham Rewards points per dollar spent at eligible Wyndham hotels and pay no ATM surcharges at machines in the Cirrus network. With a $2,500 minimum account balance, the $6 monthly fee is waived. Developed in conjunction with Galileo Financial Technologies, a SoFi unit, the Mastercard-branded card is issued by Sunrise Banks N.A.
  • American Express Co. marks is 175th anniversary with Member Week through Friday.
  • Travel card network UATP said HRS, a global corporate lodging and payment technology platform, joined the network.
  • Cash App, a part of Block Inc., launched its Cash In national brand campaign that showcases the suite of banking services available in the app.
  • Financial services network StoneX Group Inc. and Bamboo Payment Systems are jointly working to expand cross-border payment services for global merchants, and includes an unspecified investment by StoneX in Bamboo.
  • WinWinX Inc. launched its person-to-person buy now, pay later technology. It enables individual sellers to accept installment payments from buyers in its marketplace. Its TrustScore algorithm assesses the risk of each user and their actions on the platform.
  • Identity verification services provider Microblink launched the Microblink Platform, an automated service for identity capture and verification for businesses.
  • Fiserv Inc. said Stephanie Cohen, chief strategy officer at Cloudflare, a cloud connectivity company, joined its board of directors.
