- Youtap, a provider of point-of-sale payments software and devices, introduced its X8 device, a small device capable of accepting mobile transactions using near-field communication. The device fits inside pants pockets or can be worn around the neck, according to the company.
- Danish payments provider Nets A/S confirmed potential buyers are interested and that the company is “reviewing its options,” according to Bloomberg. Nets A/S started trading publicly in September at a valuation of $4.6 billion, one of the largest European initial public offerings in 2016. Private-equity firms Advent International Corp. and Bain Capital own about 40% of the company.
