• Merchant processor Payroc LLC announced it has acquired payment gateway The iTransact Group. Terms were not disclosed. Besides the gateway, the deal brings 6,000 merchants with $1.3 billion in annual volume to Payroc, along with mobile point-of-sale technology and a payment-facilitator platform.
• Payments provider Intrix Technology Inc. purchased the business assets and customer relationships of Maas Global Solutions, which owns the Paymentsite payments platform. Terms were not disclosed.
• Euronet Worldwide Inc. bought YourCash Europe Ltd., a United Kingdom-based operator of 5,000 ATMs in the U.K., Netherlands, Belgium, and Ireland, for an undisclosed price. With YourCash, Euronet now operates ATMs in 21 European countries.
• Discover Financial Services said it will match cardholder donations to the American Red Cross up to $500,000 for Hurricane Matthew relief.
• Epson America Inc. has integrated a customer loyalty and incentive platform from Spendgo with Epson’s OmniLink Merchant Services platform.
• Payment gateway Apriva said it has completed EMV certification for the Ingenico Group’s Telium2 smart terminal with TSYS Acquiring Solutions.
• Consumers plan to spend an average of $636 on holiday-related expenses during the fourth quarter, said research firm The NPD Group Inc. in its 2016 Holiday Purchase Intentions Survey.
• Prepaid card program manager Blackhawk Network Holdings Inc. appointed David Tate vice president of the company’s retail business, reporting to chief executive Talbott Roche. Tate has been with Blackhawk since 2001.
