• Merchant processor Heartland Payment Systems Inc. announced an integration of its Portico Gateway with Computop Paygate in an arrangement that will give Heartland merchants access to international payments. Heartland is set to be acquired this spring by Global Payments Inc. in a $4.3 billion cash-and-stock deal announced in December.
• Merchant services provider Integrity Payment Systems says Jet Business Loans LLC, also known as Jet Capital, is offering Integrity’s payment services to Jet Capital merchants. Jet also announced its service is available throughout Texas.
• On Track Innovations Ltd., a provider of contactless-payment technology for vending machines and other unattended devices, said it has completed “the major phase” of an efficiency program it began in September. The program involved outsourcing some manufacturing, cutbacks in personnel, and salary cuts, with reallocations of savings to sales and marketing.
• Brandify, a mobile-location marketing firm, launched Brandify Mobile, a mobile local-marketing platform that supports wallet integration on Apple Inc.’s iPhone and devices using the Android mobile operating system.
• Boomtown Inc., a startup specializing in providing business support services, released Connect, an app for iOS devices that enables clients to text or video chat with their technology vendors via a single interface.
• Amazon.com Inc.’s canister-shaped Echo consumer device has added payments to its so-called skills in an arrangement with Capital One Financial Corp. that lets Cap One cardholders use voice commands to get account data, pay bills, and transfer funds.
• Everi Holdings Inc., a specialist in payments for casino operators, says it has achieved EMV compliance.
