- Addressing doubts among at least some sellers, eBay Inc. seller advocate Jim “Griff” Griffith said sellers “can put [their] consternation aside” regarding the marketplace giant’s new managed-payments program, which will not include traditional eBay payment method PayPal until next year.
- Online payments provider Stripe Inc. agreed to use Visa Inc.’s push-payment service, Visa Direct, to make payments through its Instant Payouts feature.
- Processor JetPay Corp. reported third-quarter revenues of $15.5 million, up 14% from $13.6 million a year earlier, and a $3.53 million loss applicable to common shareholders versus a $3.17 million loss in 2017’s third quarter. JetPay has a pending deal to be acquired by NCR Corp. for $184 million.
- Shares of MoneyGram International Inc. plunged 49% Friday to close at $2.27 after the wire-transfer provider reported a $125 million settlement with the federal government and a 15% decline in third-quarter revenues, and lowered its outlook for the rest of the year. The stock slipped another 2% as of mid-morning Monday in a generally down day on Wall Street, according to Yahoo! Finance.
