- The e-commerce giant eBay Inc. said it will widen its global partnership with payments platform Klarna AB to include the U.S. market, allowing the shopping site to roll out Klarna’s payments capabilities to ”millions” of eBay shoppers, eBay says.
- PSQ Payments said it is available on the Shopify App store, making the service available to merchants using Shopify’s platform.
- Payments platform Bilt Rewards, a specialist in payments and rewards related to housing and neighborhood spending, has expanded to student housing through an alliance with American Campus Communities, a builder.
- VoPay International Inc. has launched a white-label cross-border payments-as-a-service platform, which it says offers software vendors and financial institutions white-label money-movement technology.
- Money-movement platform Alacriti has launched what it calls an enhanced version of Orbipay Payments Hub for ACH, aimed at helping financial institutions process automated clearing house transactions as well as wires and real-time payments via the FedNow and Visa Direct services.
- Capital One Financial Corp., which expects a May 18 close on its acquisition of Discover Financial Services, reported first-quarter net revenue of $10 billion, down 2% year-over-year.
- Software platform Blackbaud Inc., a specialist in donations, ticketing, and tuition payments, launched Blackbaud Integrated Payments, which it says will work with any software provider that integrates with its Payments API.
- Synchrony Financial announced an agreement to launch a new private-label credit card for customers of Belle Tire, an automotive-service provider with almost 300 locations.
- Everyware Worldwide Inc., a developer of payments technology, has launched an integration with acceptance devices and point-of-sale software offered on Visa Inc.’s Cybersource platform.
- SurgePays Inc. has promoted Darren Winfrey to president, sales and operations. Winfrey has been with the company since 2019, when he joined through the company’s acquisition of ECS Prepaid.
