Lightspeed’s New Data Tool and other Digital Transactions News briefs from 8/14/24

  • Lightspeed Commerce, a specialist in hospitality payments, launched Retail Insights, a data service for merchants.
  • Shift4 Payments Inc. announced it will process all ticket sales and foodservice payments at Gainbridge Fieldhouse in Indianapolis, the arena for the Indiana Pacers of the National Basketball Association.
  • U.S.-based fintech software firm OMNIQ Corp. said it is partnering with payments processor and point-of-sale device provider Ingenico to offer payments services across a range of industries.
  • ATM maker NCR Atleos reported $1.08 billion in revenue for the June quarter, up 4% year-over-year, though net income dropped to $28 million from $52 million in the same quarter last year.
  • Checkout provider Sensepass said it has adopted Amazon Pay for its selection of wallet-based payment options, adding to an array that includes Venmo, Apple Pay, Google Pay, PayPal, Klarna, Afterpay, Sezzle, Zip, Affirm, Alipay, WeChat Pay, and Bitcoin.
    Payments technology provides AptPay and online-payments processor Ilixium announced a partnership to provide real-time payments and account-verification services for online gaming in Canada.
  • A Dubai-based payments platform called TFSF Pulse launched its Flat Rate Merchant Processing service in the United States as well as the United Kingdom and Europe. The service is aimed at brick-and-mortar as well as e-commerce sales and includes high-risk merchants, the company says.
  • Mastercard Inc. said it is widening the availability of data from its Verification of Income and Employment technology as part of an effort to enhance its Open Banking for Lending program, which it offers in partnership with employment-data platform Argyle Systems Inc.
  • Bill-payment provider InvoiceCloud appointed Kevin O’Brien chief executive and Chris Sands chief financial officer. O’Brien was president of InvoiceCloud when it was part of EngageSmart. Sands most recently was CFO of IntelyCare, digital health company. InvoiceCloud also named Jessi Marcoff, who worked at BentoBox prior, as its chief people officer.
