Linked2Pay Debuts Instant Merchant Settlement and other Digital Transactions News briefs

  • Payment-processing technology company Pineapple Payments has acquired payment-gateway provider Transax for undisclosed terms. The deal represents the fifth acquisition this year for Pineapple, which says it is processing $3 billion in annual volume for more than 13,000 merchants.
  • Payments-technology provider linked2pay introduced what it calls instant merchant settlements for credit card payments and said paycosmos is the first independent sales organization to offer the service to merchants. IMS enables a merchant to approve a transaction and have the funds deposited and available for withdrawal “in a few seconds,” linked2pay said.
  • Payments provider Century Business Solutions announced an integration of its payments service with Oracle Corp.’s NetSuite business software.
  • Payments provider Delego launched Delego RapidPay for online merchants. The service enables merchants to accept multiple payment types as well as alternative ones such as PayPal, Alipay, and electronic checks.
  • Tipalti, which offers a global payables-automation platform, announced it has exceeded $5 billion in annualized transaction volume with more than 3 million suppliers on the platform.
  • First Data Corp. announced an integration with the Ellie Mae Encompass Consumer Connect lending platform to process mortgage and appraisal fees.
  • VersaPay Corp. said it has signed commercial real-estate developer ShopOne to process tenant payments through the ARC automated clearing house network code.
  • Epson America Inc. said point-of-sale software provider Lightspeed has certified four Epson receipt printers.
  • A consortium of Visa Canada, Air Canada, The Toronto-Dominion Bank, and Canadian Imperial Bank of Commerce will purchase Aimia Inc.’s Aeroplan loyalty business for $450 million in cash and the assumption of approximately $1.9 billion in Aeroplan Miles liability.
