- Marqeta Inc. said it will acquire TransactPay, a processor operating in the United Kingdom and Europe. In related news, Marqeta said its board has appointed chief financial officer Mike Milotech as interim chief executive. He will continue in the CFO role. He succeeds Simon Khalaf, who has resigned as CEO and as a member of the board. The board has started a search for a permanent CEO. Lastly, the company reported total processing volume $291 billion for 2024, up 31% from 2023.
- SecurityMetrics launched ShoppingCardMonitor, aimed at helping e-commerce sellers guard against skimming and achieve compliance with the Payment Card Industry data-security standard (PCI).
- Shift4 Payments Inc. said it will process point-of-sale transactions for the National Basketball Association’s Portland Trail Blazers at the team’s venues Moda Center and Veterans Memorial Coliseum, starting this spring. The technology will be “fully integrated” at the venues before the start of the 2025-26 NBA season, the parties said.

- Processor Payoneer Global Inc. reported fourth-quarter processing volume of $22.5 billion, up 18% from the same quarter in 2023. For the full year, volume totaled $80.1 billion, up 21% over 2023. Full-year 2024 revenue rose 20% to $720.9 million.
- Processor ACI Worldwide Inc. reported total 2024 revenue of $1.594 billion, up 10% from 2023, with net income for $203 million, a 67% jump.
- Venn, a Canada-based provider of financial services including bank transfers, raised $21.5 million in a Series A round led by Left Lane Capital. The company formerly was known as Vault.
- Fiserv Inc. announced First Community Credit Union has adopted Fiserv’s DNA core-processing platform. FCCU operates 42 branch locations and has $4.5 billion in assets.
- Software developer Inovalon said its Patient Payment Management and Patient Statement Management products have become available on PointClickCare, Inovalon’s online marketplace.
- Payments-software provider Sila announced the completion of a project for GBank that the parties say will ease transactions through the automated clearing house and on real-time payments systems for GBank’s fintech clients.
