- Mastercard Inc. said it is working with payments-technology platform VoPay to offer what the partners say will be near-real-time money-movement service in Canada. The service relies on Mastercard Move, a set of funds-transfer options.
- The Merchants Payment Coalition, which advocates for passage of the Credit Card Competition Act, cited the recent profits of large card-issuing banks as evidence the CCCA should advance into law. The CCCA would require an alternate routing choice for credit card transactions, which could mean networks would have to compete over fees, the MPC said.
- Paystand Inc., whose technology includes links incorporated in business invoices for digital payments, announced its service has been adopted by Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central. - HighRadius Corp., a provider of treasury software, launched a business-to-business payments platform offering more than 100 payment methods around the world.
- The Electronic Transactions Association, which represents the acquiring industry, announced its 2024 board of directors. President is Cameron Bready, president and chief executive of Global Payments Inc.
- Green Dot Corp. appointed Renata Caine general manager of banking as a service. Caine, a former executive at Marqeta and Justt, comes to the company from a position as a consulting advisor at Point72 Ventures.
