- Mi9 Retail, a vendor of point-of-sale software, announced an integration that will allow merchants to process transactions through payments provider Adyen’s platform. Mi9 serves more than 450 retail businesses globally.
- Mastercard Inc. said Phillips 66 later this year will integrate Masterpass into the My Phillips 66 app, which will allow customers with the app to pay at the pump or in-store at Philips 66 stations.
- American Express Co. announced a new global brand platform and marketing campaign dubbed “Powerful Backing: Don’t Do Business/Don’t Live Life Without It;” the announcement notes that 18 million merchants accept AmEx cards.
- Fiserv Inc. said Carter Bank & Trust of Martinsville, Va., will use various Fiserv processing services, which besides account processing include electronic bill pay, person-to-person payments, and mobile deposits.
- PayPal Holdings Inc. announced an agreement that allows Kenyans to move funds between their M-Pesa and PayPal accounts.
- Payments provider Paysafe has appointed Stuart C. Harvey non-executive chairman of its board of directors. Previously, Harvey was chairman, chief executive, and president of Ceridian Corp. and chief executive of processor Elavon.
