Mobile Specialist Miura Introduces New Terminals And Apps for North America

United Kingdom-based mobile-payment specialist Miura Systems is expanding its operations in North America through the introduction of PCI PTS v5 certified terminals, a turnkey semi-integrated payment application, and a hosted device-management system. Miura, which has deployed more than 3 million payment devices to more than 30 countries, is also beefing up its North American presence through the recruitment of business development and support personnel.

Miura’s devices facilitate payment at checkout, at tables, curbside, drive-thru windows, on the road, and self-service kiosks. The company says they are designed to work across all geographies, enabling customers and partners to implement solutions adapted to meet local standards with minimal development. Partners include acquirers, payment service providers, processors, systems integrators, and independent software vendors

The company says its applications scale to meet the needs of small and medium-sized businesses, as well as large enterprise clients, across a variety of merchant segments including retail, restaurant, transportation and field services.

“North America represents a significant growth opportunity for Miura, and we are committed to driving success for our customers, partners, and shareholders,” said Andrew Dark, executive chairman, in a statement. “We are excited to bring our … payment terminals, certified software, and flexible developer tools directly to acquirers, ISVs, gateway providers, ISOs, and resellers serving the U.S. and Canada as they respond to changing consumer shopping and payment experiences.”
