Modern Treasury’s Cross Border Payments Plan And Other Digital Transactions News briefs from 3/3/23

  • Payments-technology provider Modern Treasury and Silicon Valley Bank launched what they call a global payment solution to let clients of the two companies send cross-border payments at lower than prevailing costs and using local automated clearing house networks.
  • SpecTrust Inc., whose Trust Cloud offers fraud protection for online transactions, said it has integrated identity technology from FingerprintJS Inc. to allow its Trust Cloud platform to identify devices and browsers with greater accuracy.
  • Payments-technology provider Kount released Kount 360, a set of identity and payment services, on the Equifax Cloud. The credit-reporting bureau Equifax Inc. acquired Kount Inc. in February 2021 for $640 million.
  • The payments fintech XTM Inc. said it will integrate to a card-issuance platform from Payfare Inc. to support its earned-wage access service in the U.S. market. XTM expects the service to roll out in the second quarter.
  • Bitcoin custodian and private bank Xapo Bank said it has integrated the Lightning Network to offer fast Bitcoin payments to its customers. The service will be offered for transactions worth up to the equivalent of $100 in U.S. currency.
  • Point-of-sale provider Lightspeed Commerce Inc. said Brandon Nussey, its chief operating officer, will step down in May. It did not say why he was leaving the company.
