MTech Mobility’s New Touchtab and other Digital Transactions News briefs from 3/13/25

  • MTech Mobility introduced Touchtab, a mobile point-of-sale platform aimed at restaurants and promising faster processing of customer tickets. A recent study by SpotOn found 84% of U.S. independent and chain restaurants want improved POS technology.
  • Buy now, pay later provider Sezzle Inc. announced new app features including auto-applied coupons, notifications of price drops, and smoother discovery of deals.
  • Bilt Rewards, a payments provider that manages rewards for rent and mortgage payments, said it has acquired Banyan, a receipt-data platform. Terms were not announced.
  • U.S. cryptocurrency platform Ripple said it has been approved by the Dubai Financial Services Authority to process crypto-based payments in the Dubai International Finance Center.
  • UU Wallet, a Hong Kong-based money-services business based on blockchain technology, said it has obtained a Money Services Business license from the United States.
  • Visa Inc. has planned an April 30 announcement about its next artificial intelligence endeavors and their use in commerce. It will announce it during its 2025 Product Drop Event.
  • Tuition payments specialist Flywire Corp. promoted Mohit Kansal to chief payments officer. Kansal, a nine-year Flywire employee, will oversee Flywire’s payment-related products.
