NCR Revenue up 26% and other Digital Transactions News briefs from 4/27/22

  • NCR Corp. reported first quarter revenue of $1.9 billion, a 26% increase from $1.5 billion in the 2021 first quarter. Much of that growth can be attributed to its payments and network business, which includes the Cardtronics and LibertyX acquisitions made less than a year ago. This revenue of $299 million increased 1,259% from $22 million a year ago. NCR posted a first quarter loss of $35 million compared with a net income of $31 million a year ago.
  • Payments provider Klarna said merchants selling to Canadian customers via cross-border e-commerce processor Global-e can offer Klarna’s payment options.
  • Flexa Network Inc. launched Flexa Payments, a service that enables merchants to accept 99 digital currencies from any app or wallet.
  • Consulting company SoftServe agreed to integrate Stripe Inc.’s payments platform in projects SoftServe develops with clients.
  • In related news, technology provider Endava plc said it has joined Stripe’s new Partner Ecosystem as a strategic partner to more quickly integrate Stripe’s technology for merchants.
  • Moca, a developer of payment products for community financial institutions, announced it has signed Bank of Holyrood, said to be one of the oldest banks in Kansas.
  • Fiserv Inc. launched its AppMarket to help financial institutions more easily access fintech services that can help them reach new customers and increase operational efficiency.
  • The online casino NetBet France has added Apple Pay as a payment method for making deposits and withdrawals.
