 Nuvei in E-Commerce Deal And Other Digital Transactions News briefs from 1/16/24

  • Nuvei Corp. said it has agreed to process e-commerce transactions for Galeries Lafayette UAE, a unit of French Department Stores LLC.
  • Linnworks, an e-commerce inventory and order-management software provider, said it is working with Lightspeed Commerce Inc. to enable Linnworks clients to connect to Lightspeed Retail.
  • Fintech Varo Bank N.A. announced it is offering a service with Column Tax to allow persons to prepare their tax returns and file them through the Varo app.
  • The big France-based processor Worldline has agreed to adopt cloud technology from Google Inc. and to process transactions for Google customers in Europe.
  • The fintech Ouro and Pathward N.A. have extended an agreement by which Pathward is an issuer for Netspend prepaid and debit cards, as well as other cards offered by Ouro. Rev Worldwide paid $1 billion in May to acquire Netspend from Global Payments. The Rev-Netspend combination was then renamed Ouro in November.
  • Eventbrite, a technology provider for event organizers, launched instant payouts and tap to pay capability for event producers in the U.S. market, with global availability expected by year’s end.
  • SecurityMetrics unveiled a list of updates to help merchants comply with PCI v4.0.
  • The fraud-prevention platform DataVisor said it has obtained PCI certification according to rules set by the Payment Card Industry Data Security Standard.
  • Electric-vehicle charging station operator EV Connect announced an agreement in which General Motors vehicles can charge their batteries at nearly 200 compatible DC chargers across the United States, with fees levied against a card on file.
  • Business-to-business payments platform TreviPay launched Universal Acceptance, a service that works with Mastercard and is aimed at speeding up clients’ adoption of TreviPay’s technology.
