- Payments provider Nuvei Corp. reported first-quarter volume of $20.6 billion, up 132% year-over-year, with e-commerce accounting for 87% of that total. Revenue grew 80% to $149.9 million. Nuvei was known as Pivotal Payments until rebranding in 2018.
- Kount, an authentication and fraud prevention provider, announced Kount Dispute and Chargeback Management Solution, a service that integrates major card brand dispute and alert systems with Kount’s fraud prevention technology. Kount said the service can help consumers recognize transactions or receive a refund without having to pursue a chargeback.
- Payment products developer and processor Financial Software and Systems Pvt. Ltd. said it will collaborate with Zwipe AS, a developer of biometric authentication for payments products, to introduce contactless payment cards featuring fingerprint authentication of the cardholder.
- In related news, startup technology firm Heslo has launched Heslo Pay, a single-click checkout button for e-commerce that features biometric authentication.
- Rego Payment Architectures Inc. said it completed a $13-million Series C funding round. The funds will be used to market a mobile-banking technology to consumers in the United States and the European Union.
- Key West, Fla., will use Passport Labs Inc.’s mobile payments and enforcement services for parking, Passport said.
