Onfleet’s Shopify Tie-up and other Digital Transactions News briefs from 8/26/24

  • Onfleet, a delivery management software platform, said its new partnership with Shopify Inc., an e-commerce and point-of-sale platform, integrated Shopify online orders with Onfleet’s platform.
  • Rentvine, a software platform for rent payments and other property-management functions, raised $74 million in growth capital from Mainsail Partners.
  • Businesses in the Asia-Pacific region are adopting digital payment methods for commercial transactions more slowly than they are for consumer transactions, with credit cards (61%) automated clearing house (54%), and cash (47%) cited as the most used methods, according to the second part of the 2024 Payment State of the Union report from Discover Global Network, released Monday. The report stems from a first-quarter global canvass of 2,706 respondents at the director level or higher at small-to-medium-size companies. Discover commissioned the study, conducted by 451 Research.
  • Idex Biometrics announced its Idex Pay, which includes the Idex Biometrics proprietary card, has achieved certification from Visa Inc. The product includes a fingerprint sensor with a secure element from Infineon. The product had earlier won certification from Mastercard Inc.
  • Deluxe Corp. Foundation awarded more than $1 million in grants to nine organizations.
