Papaya’s Workforce Software and other Digital Transactions News briefs from 7/25/24

    • U.S.-based Papaya Global, which offers platforms for payroll and payments processing, said it will support payroll and other workforce software for Cegid, a Europe-based provider of cloud software for finance and human resources.
    • American Express Co. announced updates to its U.S. Consumer Gold Card, including credits for spending at restaurants included in Resy, AmEx’s reservations platform.
    • Payments processor Paysafe Ltd. announced an integration with blockchain provider Alchemy Pay that will enable Paysafe’s Skrill and Neteller digital wallets for Alchemy Pay users looking to buy Bitcoin, Ethereum, and other cryptocurrencies.
    • In Revenue Capital said it has joined a $4-million seed-funding round for Grazzy, a provider of digital tipping and banking technology for the hospitality industry.
    • LeafLink, a payments and banking platform specializing in the cannabis industry, said it has acquired the assets of Dama Financial’s banking unit, which offers payments and other banking services to cannabis sellers. Terms were not announced.
    • Billfold, a point-of-sale payments platform specializing in sports and other live events, announced it has completed a seed extension funding round led by BambuVentures, Inertia Ventures, and former National Football League star Fran Tarkenton. The amount of the raise was not disclosed.
    • Corpay Inc., a Canada-based corporate-payments platform, said its cross-border unit will support foreign-exchange services for World Athletics, international governing body for track and field and other sports.
