Papaya Global Ltd., a specialist in payroll, said it has agreed to acquire Azimo Ltd., a cross-border payments platform. Terms were not announced.
Canada-based processor Nuvei Corp. said it will provide acquiring and gateway services, along with support for more than 530 alternative payment methods, for Aircash, a mobile wallet based in Croatia.
In related news, Nuvei has appointed Samir Zabaneh to its board of directors. Zabaneh, chief executive of TouchBistro Inc., formerly worked for First Data, Heartland Payments, and Moneris Solutions.
The Chipotle restaurant chain announced customers can use Block Inc.’s Cash App to participate in Chipotle’s Guac Mode Giveaway promotion through March 31. Users can drop their $cashtag in response to a tweet to get a chance to win cash.
FinPay Holdings Inc., provider of a payments app for health care, closed on a $15-million growth round led by PeakSpan Capital.
