Payroc WorldAccess LLC has acquired Atlantic Merchant Services, LLC for an undisclosed sum. Raleigh, N.C.-based-Atlantic Merchant serves merchants and businesses across the mid-Atlantic region, as well as West Virginia, Tennessee, Michigan, and Texas.
Atlantic Merchant’s services include touchscreen POS, mobile solutions, e-commerce, countertop terminals, and smart-phone applications. Merchant segments serviced include restaurant and hospitality, as well as business-to-business and business-to-government transactions.
The acquisition is expected to complement Payroc’s growth strategy, according to Payroc chief executive James Oberman. “Atlantic Merchant’s referral partners and merchants will benefit from Payroc’s differentiating payment technology, in-house processing capabilities, and experienced support team, solidifying their already strong relationships,” Oberman said in a prepared statement.
Payroc processes more than $80 billion in annual transaction volume for more than 151,000 merchants in more than 45 markets.
In related news, First American by Deluxe, which provides integrated payment solutions to about 155,000 merchants throughout the Americas and Europe, has integrated CardFlight’s SwipeSimple omnichannel software and devices into its merchant platform. The integration will enable small- and medium-size businesses to accept and manage payments and deploy equipment, as well as invoice through a single platform that supports multiple payment types and settlement options.
“The combination of the SwipeSimple customer-facing technology with our full-service acquiring solution fills a critical gap for SMB merchants and software partners delivering everything they need and nothing they don’t,” said Shawn Dillon, executive vice president of sales for First American, in a statement.
Deluxe, well-known as a check processor when it acquired First American Payment Systems in 2021, processes $3 trillion in annual payment volume.
