Payroc Launches a Single API for PayByBank, And Works With Dingg to Reach Spas And Salons

Payments-platform provider Payroc LLC has launched an application programming interface that enables clients to offer its PayByBank solution in the United States and Canada through a single interface. Before this launch, Payroc clients needed separate interfaces to offer PayByBank in each country. The single interface eliminates the need for multiple integrations or workarounds, the company says.

PayByBank enables independent software vendors and merchants to accept token-based card and account-to-account payments.

With the introduction of the single interface, ISVs and merchants can tokenize banking information for transactions routed through the automated clearing house in the U.S. and for preauthorized debits for account-to-account transactions in Canada. A pre-authorized debit allows a merchant or biller to withdraw money from a consumer’s bank account on either a one-time or recurring basis. As a result, the API will help merchants and ISVs operating in both countries unlock new growth opportunities, the company says.

“Prior to the development of the API, we had two separate solutions for each country,” says Marcus Dagenais, managing director for Canada and corporate development for Payroc. “Now [merchants and ISVs] need only to plug in once to our platform to have access to both countries.”

In addition to the launch of the single API for PayByBank, Payroc on Thursday announced a partnership with Dingg, a software provider specializing in the beauty and wellness industry. Dingg will integrate Payroc’s payment capabilities into its platform to create a single application for spa and salon management.

“Our goal is to provide salon and spa owners with a seamless, user-friendly, and efficient way to manage their business operations, including payment processing, scheduling, customer management, and more,” Annette Cristerna, director of inside sales at Payroc. says in a statement.

Founded in 2003, Tinley Park, Ill.-based Payroc processes more than $80 billion in annual volume for more than 151,000 merchants.
