QorPay Inc. reported Thursday that it has integrated its payment technology with Visa Inc.’s Cybersource unit to provide new merchant-acquiring and security services to its business customers.
Founded in 2019, Scottsdale, Ariz.-based QorPay is a payment facilitator and independent sales organization that works with several banks and a software company that in turn work with electronic payment-accepting merchants. Cybersource, which Visa acquired in 2010 for $2 billion, provides security technology and related services for merchants. The acquisition brought Cybersource’s Authorize.net gateway for e-commerce businesses under Visa’s wing. Cybersource and Authorize.net are now part of Visa’s Acceptance Solutions suite of services.
QorPay is tapping Visa Platform Connect, which through Cybersource links merchant acquirers with Visa’s network and processing capabilities for access to more than 180 merchant acquirers and other payment networks, and supports local payment methods around the world. The Visa services currently are available to QorPay’s North American customers and can be linked to an app store for sellers.

“By adding Visa’s cutting-edge technology to its suite of client-led products, QorPay aims to enhance return on investment to payments for businesses across the world,” QorPay says in a news release. “This integration will enable organizations to streamline transactions, orchestrate data, reduce risk of fraud, and improve expense management through a single pane dashboard.”
Bill Serino, senior vice president and head of Visa Value-Added Services in North America, said in a statement that “by integrating Visa Platform Connect, QorPay will enhance their services and provide merchants with a streamlined and safer payment experience.”
Spokespersons for QorPay and Visa were not immediately available for comment Friday morning.
